ITS Research Group (FGVT) of the Saarland University of Applied Sciences – htw saar has begun  field tests within the EM:POWER project. On Thursday, 24 September 2020, the Toyota Mirai was handed over to the first participant of the field tests in Wallerfangen. EM:POWER is exploring practical feasibility of a hydrogen-powered fuel cell passenger car in everyday traffic. From now on, every week the vehicle will be available to different Saarland households for a seven-day testing period. The results of these field tests will be evaluated from transport economics point of view and analysed in terms of public acceptance. The research project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund EFRE.
